CAPTAIN
is a true fund accounting system that provides fund balance accountability
for each individual program that you operate. The structure allows
each program to have its own complete chart of accounts and its
own fiscal period, even when the fiscal period of the program
is different from the fiscal year of the agency. While each program
maintains its own fiscal accountability, they are all consolidated
within a single agency general ledger. You have the ability to
look at each program as a separate fiscal entity but also consolidated
within the general ledger of the agency.
All
modules are completely integrated so that data entered in any
module flows automatically to the other modules that use it.
No data is ever entered more than once. Complete statements
of Income and Expense vs. Budgets are produced on-line and in
report form at any time for any program or in consolidated form.
Fiscal analysis reporting is available for individual programs,
groups of programs that you create, and all programs. You can
vary the fiscal period to look back at historical data or current
data.
Monthly
and fiscal year end closing is simple and quick. You may keep
accounting periods open if necessary for as long as needed while
continuing to process the current period. You may even go back
to prior months or years to look at historical data.
Our
Auto GL feature updates the General Ledger daily allows you
to review your key General Ledger accounts each morning. This
gives you such features as daily cash balances.
