CAP Systems now offers our systems on open platforms and databases
with a Windows Graphical User Interface. By selecting a technology
to allow our products to be able to migrate to virtually any
hardware platform running any operating system, we can deploy
our systems on stand-alone systems or over the Web. Users have
all of the functionality of Windows but none of the frustration
of full screen panels when using the Web to distribute your
system. Performance is highly comparable to in house installed
systems. This superior technology allows us to select the operating
system that fits the needs of your agency and the database
product that you need that is ODBC compliant.
Among the operating systems available are Windows NT/2000,
UNIX, Ultrix, AIX, OpenVMS, SCO Openserver, and Sun Solaris.
Database management systems include MS SQL, Informix, Oracle,
Sybase, DB Maker, and ODBC. The combinations of platforms,
operating systems, and database managers give our users maximum
flexibility to protect your investment today and into the future.
We plan to offer Web Services along with incorporating XML
directly into your agency thereby delivering the capability
to exchange data with outside sources using the world wide
standard for data exchange.
Community Action Partnership Annual Conference
CAP Systems will be exhibiting at the 2003 Community Action
Partnership Convention to be held in Anaheim, CA August 26 – 29.
At this time we will be showing our new Windows and Web based
systems as well as the new additions to the CAPTAIN System
of integrated modules.

New Product Releases
Application Service Provider (ASP)
CAPTAIN is now Web enabled and offered by CAP Systems over
the Internet. You now can store your data on a highly secure
Internet server and access it from any place you have Internet
access including mobile devices like laptops. This opens
the door to endless possibilities for the future. While our
product keeps on growing in content and functionality, access
is easier than ever before but with safeguards to protect
your data. Every module in our rich and robust system is
yours over the net. If you have Internet access you can have
CAPTAIN access.
Emergency Services and Benefits Administration
This module is the first in a series that will include a complete
Case Management module complete with extensive case notes
storage and retrieval. This module is designed for agencies
that deliver emergency services that can result in payments
or vouchers to or on behalf of the customers. As a by-product,
the system tracks expenditures against program budgets to
ensure that funds are available and that contracts are not
overspent. Budget tracking is even possible when you are
part of a larger agency or department that handles your fiscal
affairs through our fiscal interface.
Head Start
We have incorporated modified day care programs into Head Start
so that we can accommodate children who are funded in Head
Start classrooms by other funding sources or who sit in Head
Start class rooms part of the day and are funded for other
parts of the day by other funding sources. This module can
automatically generate reimbursement billing from parents
and multiple funding sources on variable schedules. It is
totally flexible and user guided and provides the link between
Early Childcare programs and the fiscal activities that support
them. The billing can be done through a stand alone Accounts
Receivable module or integrated into the Accounts Receivable
module in the CAPTAIN Fund Accounting System,
All Head Start features are available through our ASP Web
server and in our Windows Head Start product.
AIDS Program Health Screening
CAP Systems has developed a robust health screening and tracking
system for agencies who are involved with AIDS treatment
to assist in delivering a wide variety of services to the
patients served. It allows multiple agencies to provide services
to AIDS patients and consolidate the data in a single shared
database.

to wherever it is needed.
