Weatherization
is a job costing, monitoring, and payment system fully integrated
with the Client Database and also LIHEAP. As new jobs are created,
they are costed and profiled for review. This process essentially
costs out the job by labor, materials, and in total. The system
tests the database of previously weatherized properties to see
if the property is eligible to be weatherized. The client data
is collected from the Client Database and from the client application.
The
property weatherized is added to the historical database of
weatherized properties to be used to determine if a property
is eligible to be weatherized at some point in the future. Vendor's
tasks that are completed satisfactorily and are approved for
payment are transmitted to a special Weatherization accounts
payable batch. From that point, fiscal can select it for payment
in an accounts payable run without the need to fill out voucher
forms.
