[Ipswich, MA, June 2018] One part of my day that I truly enjoy is connecting with our customer community, whether it's handling a support ticket, attending a user group meeting, or collaborating on a development project.
Engaging with the CAPTAIN® user network allows me to learn how our system is used daily. This insight helps us identify areas for feature updates and workflow improvements. Our current system has evolved through these interactions and learning about our customers' challenges.
Project Development Time!
Recently, while working on a data feed project from CAPTAIN® to a funding source system, we discovered unused custom fields in the intake screen. These fields, answered based on the funding source, complicated the intake process.
We reviewed an Excel spreadsheet of intake questions per funding source and decided to move most custom questions to the benefit determination screen. This streamlined the intake process, improved data entry accuracy, and ensured relevant questions appeared only when needed.
This project, which improved the intake process, benefits all our customers across various modules, like Case Management, Head Start, LIHEAP, and Emergency Services.
